(a week of austerity and meditation)

This week-long immersion is designed to support Kriyavans in deepening their meditation practice through extended periods of silence, concentrated sadhana, and reduced daily distractions. By simplifying activities such as meal preparation, conversations, and discourses, the program creates inner space for sustained meditation, self-study, and quiet  contemplation — allowing inner stillness to arise naturally.

Jan 25th, Sunday (please arrive by 5 PM CST) to Feb 1st, Sunday (program concludes at 1:30 PM CST)

Who can attend :
Kriyavans in our lienage only

Cost to attend : Suggested donation
$300 (for full 7 days) - Lodging and food included.
$50 (per day, for partial attendance) - Lodging and food included.
$25/day - Lodging not included, food included. 

Lodging :
Separate lodging for men and women available in the ashram. Limited seats only. Please register soon to secure your place.

Program Features :

  • Extended Meditation Sessions: Longer, uninterrupted meditation periods each day. Minimal guided practice. 
  • Simple, Nourishing Meals: Light one-pot meals—such as porridge, khichdi, and soup—served for breakfast, lunch, and dinner to support a calm, steady practice.
  • Silence & Reduced Communication: Designated silent hours and limited speaking to preserve inner quietude.
  • Nature Walks: Silent walks in nature to refresh the body and mind.
  • Minimal Phone Use: Encouragement to limit digital engagement to maintain focus and tranquility.
  • Supportive Environment: A peaceful, relaxing atmosphere designed to nurture stillness and deep inner awareness.
  • Optional Guidance: The resident monk would be available for questions and guidance on meditation.


Tentative Daily Schedule :
5:30 am - Morning Meditation practice (2 hrs)
8:00 am - Breakfast
9:00 am - Personal time
10:00 am - Meditation practice (2 hrs)
12:30 pm - Lunch,  rest, and personal time
3:30 pm - Nature Walk
5:00 pm - Monk availability hours for guidance
6:00 pm - Vesper & Arati
6:15 pm - Meditation
7:30 pm - Dinner followed by personal time and rest

* Meditations will be self-guided by default, with occasional guided sessions scheduled as needed. Personal time is intended for self-study, reflection, and deepening one’s kriya techniques.Participants may seek the monk’s guidance for recommended readings or support in their practice.
