Modest clothing is recommended. Loose fitting comfortable long pants, shirts, or blouses with either short or long sleeves, thus covering shoulders. Avoid low-cut tops, short skirts, overly revealing, and transparent attires.
Shoes are removed before entering the building. One can wear socks inside the building.
Minimal use of personal lotions and perfumes is strongly encouraged.
Intoxicants and Drugs:
Using any type of intoxicants and/or drugs at the hermitage is forbidden. No smoking, vaping, chewing tobacco or use of recreational drugs or alcohol before or during your visit or event attendance.
Medicines or drugs on a doctor's prescription and using generic over-the-counter medications, herbs, tonics, and supplements, are acceptable.
Valuables and demeanor:
Visitors are requested not to bring any valuables.
We request you not to engage in any gossip, arguments, political discussions, cursing, and personal complaints of others. Be kind and gentle in words and deeds.
Food:
The center may provide simple vegetarian food. Food should not be wasted.
Recording and Photography:
The audio/video recording of the guided meditation or discourses is not permitted.You are welcome to take notes in your personal notebook. Photographing of posters and events to be done only when authorized.
Questions by Visitors :
Questions on meditation, practice, and spiritual topics should be taken only to the teachers or monks for clarification. One should approach the teacher in humility.
