Balashram is an English medium school and provides classes in Hindi, Oriya, and Sanskrit languages, technical studies, life-skills training and scriptural teachings. The educational curriculum is in accordance with Central Board Secondary Education (CBSE) standards.
The school has established a holistic model to integrate a complete development of body, mind, and soul based on India's ancient moral and spiritual educational system as formulated by her great rishis, sages, combined with the best of Western science and knowledge. The Balashram provides children with free education, books, balanced meals, and regular medical care. It offers children a formal academic, technical, and spiritual education and opportunities that they might not have had otherwise. A team of volunteers travel across Odisha to select orphaned children or children from poor families. A Board of Trustees ensures that the Balashram meets all its educational aims and objectives.
