Deepavali Celebration

Please join us Thursday evening, October 31, 2024, as we celebrate Diwali (Deepavali - Festival of Lights) at Shri Gurudev's Home in Homestead, FL.

The main festival night of Diwali falls on the darkest, new moon night of the Hindu lunar month Kartika. On this night, people light lamps inside and outside their homes and offer prayers, typically to Mother Lakshmi - the goddess of wealth and prosperity, and to Lord Ganesha - the remover of all obstacles and the bestower of intelligence.

The event is open to all (both kriyavans and non-kriyavans).

Tentative Schedule:
6:30 pm to 7:30 pm - Guided Meditation (This is only for those already initiated into Kriya Yoga in the lineage of Paramahamsa Hariharananda-ji and Paramahamsa Prajnanananda-ji.)
7:30 pm to 8:00 pm - Chanting / Singing, Lighting lamps
8:15 pm to 9:30 pm - Dinner followed by fireworks
