“OM”

At the Brahma Muhurta on January 5th at 4:00am PST, 11 Kriyavans gathered at Yogacharya Nisha Ma’s home in Surrey to participate in this beautiful event of the 'Uniting East and West' celebrations commemorating Paramahamsa Yoganandaji's 100th anniversary of travel to the West from his mother land, India, ( in the East).

The much awaited event began with lighting of candles at the altar by our most senior Kriyavan. The beautiful altar came alive and the divine presence of Gurus could be felt.

“An Endless Flow of Love,”a beautiful vignette of Yoganandaji’s life, narrated by Guruji, was watched. This was followed with Aarti. Each Kriyavan offered flowers with hearts filled with love and devotion at the feet of Gurus.

All Kriyavans joined globally with the whole Kriya family as children of one master and meditated together at that special hour. The energy and vibrations at that time was beyond imagination and each of one us felt the same following the recorded meditation and beautiful song sung by Guruji.

Immediately after “Om” chanting, 108 times, was performed which charged the whole atmosphere with divine vibrations.

Then the energizing quotes in Yoganandaji’s own voice were played.

The second video of Yoganandaji’s journey to the West, narrated by Guruji, was watched.

At 9:00am Prasad was served with the recitation of prayers followed with a break of 1.5 hour.

The second segment of the program began at 11:30am at the Lakshimi Narayan temple which has a gathering of some 300 worshippers on weekends.

We outreached to the community with commemorative cards made by us with New Year’s salutations and quotes by our beloved master. We spoke individually to people updating them about today’s event, teachings of Yoganandaji, his book, “An autobiography of a Yogi”, Kyriya Yoga and upcoming events.

Later in the main hall of the temple, Nisha Ma spoke to a crowd of worshippers about the celebration marking the life and legacy of Yoganandaji and his book.

Lastly, Narayan Seva was performed by serving Prasad prepared by the temple to the community.

With the blessing of God and Gurus, this celebration was full of divine energy, love and joy that unified us in “an endless flow of love,” and concluded at 2:30pm.

We send our love and gratitude to our beloved Guruji, Gurudev, Yoganandaji and the whole lineage of Kriya Yoga masters for their sacred teachings and to all spiritual seekers around the world. Photos and video clippings illustrate the flow and ambience of the whole event.
