History
The first training course was held in 2002 with forty participants selected to participate in the three months course under the guidance of Paramahamsa Prajnanananda and other monks and teachers. A similar three-month training course was held in 2004. The course was extended to six months in 2005 to 2006 to provide more in-depth training. Then in 2007 to 2008, the course was for four months. Visiting monks and learned teachers from other spiritual traditions conducted classes, giving the students an opportunity to broaden their perspective. The RBTC is truly an international event dedicated to religious and cross-cultural appreciation and understanding. Overall 174 trainees have successfully completed the training and the following chart gives a breakdown of the numbers and origins of the trainees.
